Obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree [LL.B Hons.] from the Catholic University of Milan in 1972, was called to Genoa Bar Italy in 1974 and did his post-graduate studies in City of London University U.K [LL.M] and Columbia University New York U.S.A. His areas of specialization include but not limited to : Law of Transport; Maritime Law & Arbitration; International Transactions; International and Domestic Commercial Arbitration; International Commercial Litigation; etc.
He is the Director of European Maritime Law Organisation London and the Secretary-General of Mediterranean Maritime Arbitration Association. He belongs to several professional bodies including the Italian Bar Association; Italian Maritime Law Association; Member of the Standing Committee of International Maritime Arbitration Organisation of the ICC Paris; Commission for the International Relations of the Bar Council of Genoa, among others.
He is also on the panel of Arbitrators of several Arbitration Institutes including the Chambre Arbitrale Maritime of Monaco; GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre Bahrain; Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration; China Maritime Arbitration Commission; Camera Arbitrale Marittima di Genova; among others.
Prof. Riccomagno is a world-class Arbitrator in Maritime and Commercial Law, a practising Attorney and a visiting professor in Universities of Genoa and Milan at masters programmes.
He has extensive experience in Maritime Arbitrations and has been Counsel and arbitrator before the London Maritime Arbitration Association as well as Genoa. He is also an author and has a lot of publications to his credit.
